Do you feel the pull to advance your soul journey?
Is the Universe urging you to slow down and take a closer look at your authentic truth?

“Through the illusory labyrinth, the aspirant has to find his way, snatching at a clue which promises to be of help, and after many years of experience, he learns to distinguish between truth and glamour, the real and the unreal. Every individual who begins to see more clearly and releases himself from the glamour of illusion contributes toward the realization of the Divine Plane.”

The Bhagavad Gita is based on the legendary battle between the lower and higher self. The lower self, or egoic self, resides in the density of the physical realm and is experienced with the five senses. The higher self, or soul, resides ethereally in the spiritual plane and is experienced through intuition or the sixth sense.
I’ve been a Gita lover for decades. After all, who doesn’t love an epic Hindu saga? What has helped me the most from my years with the Gita is that we have to learn how to be patient with ourselves and others because infusing the ego with soul qualities takes lifetimes.
Here’s my takeaway on what went down between Arjuna (playing the lower self) and Krishna (playing the higher self) on the final day when Arjuna chose to advance his army into the battlefield!
Once upon a time, around the 1st century BCE, some say even earlier, Arjuna, the mighty King of the Kuru Kingdom, located in present-day India, was a peaceful ruler who spent his days contemplating the highest expression of love, spiritual illumination, archery, and ways to be of service to the people of his kingdom.
But everything changed when Arjuna’s sinister cousin waged war against him. Arjuna had never even contemplated war. Killing the enemy soldiers would incur bad karma. The path of least resistance would lead to his kingdom being ruled by tyranny, which would also incur bad karma. He thought,” From the mode of passion, greed develops; and from the mode of ignorance, foolishness, madness, and illusion develop.”
Arjuna summoned Lord Krishna, who appeared before him in human form. King Arjuna asked, “I see no good in killing my people in battle. I long neither for victory nor kingship nor pleasures.”
Lord Krishna answered, “The impermanent has no reality; reality lies in the eternal. The body is mortal, but he who dwells in the body is immortal and immeasurable. Therefore, Arjuna, fight in this battle.” Arjuna was overwhelmed with sorrow.
Lord Krishna said, “This despair and weakness in a time of crisis are mean and unworthy of you, Arjuna. How have you fallen into a state so far from the path of liberation? It does not become you to yield to this weakness. Arise with a brave heart and destroy the enemy.” Krishna said, “For a warrior Arjuna, nothing is higher than a war against evil.”
Arjuna knew he had dedicated his life to proving to himself and his kingdom that good has the power to destroy evil. So, King Arjuna signaled his army to charge forward.
And with intelligence, supreme archery skills, and spiritual strength, King Arjuna defeated his bloodthirsty enemies.
My takeaway:” The more we tune out egoic, fear-based, limiting thought patterns, the more our lower self is infused with soulful, love-based, limitless qualities!

Binaural Beats, or two dissonant notes beating against each other, are used in sound healing to release energy blockages and balance the chakras. The consensus is that binaural beats stimulate intentionality, self-healing, and trauma release.
